Offense comes alive, but so do Crew
Despite scoring as many goals in 47 minutes as they had the entire season coming into the match, the Quakes were unable to taste success in their Saturday night encounter with the Columbus Crew. Head coach Frank Yallop clearly thought his defense should have done more to prevent a three goal in 10 minute rampage by the Crew in the games waning minutes. “We weren’t at our best closing them down the in our half in the first half, and we did not do it really well in the second half in critical parts of the game,” said Yallop. “It is just disappointing.”
